· Common Jobs: Farmers, craftspeople, soldiers, priests, pharaoh's

· Worked in the houses and did the household work
· Avoided contact with anyone other than family
· Had lots of children
· Were usually never pharaoh's
· Some were god’s wives, so they did sacred activates
