The Egyptians were the first ones to wear makeup. They used black and green eyeliner, and perfume made from flowers along the Nile. They also were the first ones to wear jewelry. They were the first to make papyrus, a form of paper, although the Chinese made more modern day paper from this idea. They also came up with the calender.
